Latest news and accomplishments

Well - thought an update was in order. So far this year I've learnt to walk unaided, I can now do the baby signs for cat, dog, rabbit, frog, 'more', 'yes', I can also roar like a lion and hiss like a snake!
I can say mama, dada, barbar (that's grandma barbara to you) and Raa Raa (the lion from CBeebies).
The newest addition to my repetoire - playing the harmonica!! Not quite a tune yet but give me time.

On the medical front I'm now on drops for my glaucoma as the pressures were slightly up at my last EUA and I'm back on special formula instead of milk as it appears that even soy milk upsets my constitution.

Walking like E.T.

After several months of cruising around using walls and furniture for balancing I am now getting quite brave and letting go to walk between objects. Sometimes I carry toys in both hands while doing so.
The vision of me walking around has been likened to that of E.T. (whoever that is?)

23rd September - EUA day

Today I'm due for another examination under anesthetic to see how my eyes are doing pressure-wise and if the valve in my right eye is still open.

23rd August - Operation day 3

Today I had another operation on my right eye. Everything went well as usual thankfully.
Fingers and toes crossed (though I've not learnt how to do either yet) that my eye valve doesn't heal over the hole.

29th July 2011

Today I had another examination under anaesthetic to check on my eye pressures. My left eye is fine but my right eye is going to need operating on again as the proceedure done back in April has now healed and blocked the valve again.

My next op will be sometime in August.
